Subject: Thank you
Thank you, Daralee, for the [Halloween e-mail] card. It was a pleasant
surprise. I have been spending--wasting?--a lot of time trying to learn
Painter Classic, which is a watered-down version of Painter. I must say
it gets strange and complicated fast, and the results often look weird.
The colors are neon bright, not very subtle, all very computerized and
in-your-face. I am too old for all this new-fangled art treatment. Someone
from UCLA did make a graphic using Photoshop for and about me that was
absolutely stunningly original. But that kind of effort is so rare. Or
so it seems to me. But I will prevail for a couple of more days, then
very quietly probably return to my watercolor brushes and my sketchpad
and not virtual but real. Sorry to download on you this morning. These
are just random thoughts banging around in my skull. Have a lovely, non-frightening
Hallow's Eve thine self, Daralee.
