In the second paragraph, Richard references the story of "Dr. Day." He wrote about this true life incident in a poem entitled "Richard E. Lee." The "Bly" book Richard references in the fourth paragraph pertains to Robert Bly's News of the Universe: Poems of Twofold Consciousness.
